Writing and rewriting lists

Jordan likes to make lists in order to remember the phrases or adverbial clauses that take the subjunctive form of the verb (espero que, ojalá que, para que) and the phrases that seem like they might take subjunctive but actually take the indicative.

He also recommends rewriting these lists or making flashcards so that you can remember them better:

“Another thing that really helps you get it ingrained in your mind is to…get a list from your professor or your teacher of these different clauses. [It helps] to either do flashcards or rewrite them, especially for visual learners. That really helps you get them in your head and lets you remember them.”
